Dunston Engine Works
Dunston Engine Works made all types of pumping and winding engines and iron and steel boilers, etc. This company also had a world wide reputation for stone breaking and ore crushing machinery.

My Great Great Grandfather, Thomas Archer, founded Dunston Engineering Works in 1869, the company finally ceased trading in 1924

Thanks for your comment. Ramsay's were a big brickworks and made bricks in Swalwell from about 1790 to 1925. They exported bricks to many different countries including to the Baltic ports and they probably reached Poland by sea from the River Tyne near their Swalwell brickworks.
